Board Effectiveness:
Lessons from Board Evaluations

Seminar

Details

Japan's Corporate Governance Code Principle 4.11.3 recommends that "each year the board should analyze and evaluate its effectiveness as a whole, taking into consideration relevant matters, including the self-evaluations of each director." Appropriate board and director assessments are essential to strengthening board effectiveness. Globally, investors are interested in how boards are enhancing their performance and composition through regular board evaluations.

This event covers the history and evolution of board evaluations and regulatory requirements around the globe, the importance of board dynamics (who speaks first/last), and the four types of boards.

Speakers:

David Risser, Managing Director, Sodali & Co

Lena Eriksson, Independent Advisor, Former Group Chief Legal Officer, Nordea

Masako, Arakawa, President & CEO, AMC Advisors
