Seminar, Global Board Leadership Series
Details
The JBDN is honored to welcome Wendy Becker, a global board leader whose career spans executive leadership, governance innovation, and cross-cultural impact. Residing in London, Ms. Becker began her career in brand management at Procter & Gamble before joining McKinsey & Company, where she became a partner serving clients across San Francisco and London. Her executive trajectory continued through senior roles at Vodafone and TalkTalk, including her appointment as CEO of Jack Wills Ltd. This foundation in operational leadership and strategic marketing laid the groundwork for her transition into board service at some of the world’s most respected companies.
Ms. Becker’s governance journey reflects a deliberate ascent—from board director to committee chair, and ultimately to chairperson roles at Logitech and Sony Group Corporation. In 2025, she became the first female foreign chair of a major global Japanese company, marking a historic milestone in Japan’s corporate landscape. Her portfolio also includes board service at GSK, Oxford Nanopore, and the University of Oxford. This session offers a rare glimpse into Wendy Becker’s playbook: how she navigated sectors, cultures, and leadership thresholds to shape boardrooms that reflect both commercial excellence and institutional trust.
