The JBDN is a professional membership network dedicated to advancing board diversity, primarily gender diversity, and director excellence in Japan.

Yes. We recognize the importance of diversity and support of male allies. We welcome applications from anyone who qualifies for membership and supports our mission.

Annual membership is currently $595 plus a one-time $200 joining fee. The joining fee covers the welcome call with the Founder ($500 value).

Yes, the JBDN is a global network comprised of members from more than 15 countries.

Yes. Most JBDN events are held in English. Most of our Japanese members are fully bilingual. We have a significant number of members who speak little or no Japanese. Many boards offer translation and many members of boards in Japan do not speak Japanese.

Yes. The JBDN provides translated captions at online events. In addition, the majority of members speak Japanese. Finally, the welcome call with the founder can also be done in Japanese.

The JBDN offers replays and resources to members for almost all of our programs. In addition, all members receive a personal welcome call and ongoing support from our Founder. Finally, all members are prioritized for board roles.
